shutter speed definition

Shutter speed is the amount of time the camera shutter is open and light is trapped with in the camera sensor. Shutter speed affects two things in your photo. The first is the brightness and the second is the motion blur in your photo. If you wish, let’s examine the effect of shutter speed on motion blur in your photo with the representative image below.

As you can see in the image, if you choose smaller shutter speed values such as 1/30 – 1/60 – 1/250 – 1/500; The amount of light will decrease, but you will get more dull, still, steady, flicker-free results. If you increase it to values such as 1/15 – 1/8 – 1/4 – 1/2, you will get brighter, more fluid, more moving and blurrier results.
